Notes

Allen Bond moved to Alabama in 1813. In 1814, Mourning and her children and Allen Woodward Bond and his family moved to Alabama and settled near their Uncle Claiborne Saunders. There were also some Carters in the area that might have been related to John. Allen moved his family to Shelby, TN in 1824 (where he eventually died) about 18 miles from Memphis before Charles Carter married on 15Dec1827.

He had by his first wife 7 girls and 6 boys, Robert, William, Talisea, Vestor, and John. Meredith, his youngest son, was born in Albemarle County in about 1812.
